Daine and the Wolves
Hey guys, look who’s back after a hugely long hiatus!
I’ll be back to posting wonderful pictures, posts and quotes very soon!
I felt quite offended when a woman asked if she could put her 5 month old child on a spinning, off the ground turbo ride that reaches 25 miles per hour.
Seriously, how stupid can you be? Your child cannot even walk. Yet you ask me if you can put your 5 MONTH OLD BABY GIRL ON THE RIDE. Do you even realize what sort of damage you can give your child if you put them on that ride. A slight bump or hitch or speeding up could easily get your kid out of the ride and on the ground. They could hit their heads and get brain damage and become mentally challenged for the rest of their lives or even die.
I mean, come on. You watched the ride go. You saw how it spun at high speeds and twisted at random. But you want to fight be on putting a non-walking 5 month old baby on the ride. No. I refuse to put your child on this ride, not only because I can’t but because morally and logically I cannot live with that fact that I would endanger the child’s life by putting them on this ride.
So you know what. No. Go ahead and file a complaint. Go ahead and talk to my Lead, My Supervisor, I refuse to put your child on this ride and quite honestly I question your right to even have this child.
The Song of the Lioness quartet by Tamora Pierce are what really got me into reading, around second/third grade. If I had never picked the first book up, who knows if I ever would have read the hundreds of books I have.

This is Veralidaine Sarrasri, Daine, from Tamora Pierce’s The Immortals series.
I am growing an amazing love for this author.
I just want everyone following me to know that this is one of the most amazing books of all time. Along with The Immortals, Protector of the Small, and Tricksters. (They’re actually all quartets except the last one.)
Read them. They’re perfect.
